Hello guys,
Is anyone else experiencing issues with OpenRouteService Directions?
I’m trying to make a GET request:
https://api.openrouteservice.org/v2/directions/driving-car?api_key=token&start=8.681495,49.41461&end=8.687872,49.420318
but I keep getting the following response:
Service Unavailable
“The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.”
Is this a global outage, or is it just me?

I am getting a server down message calling the ors isochrones api. It was working fine and I haven’t used up my quota.

I found a post from January 23rd mentioning scheduled server maintenance, so I assume this is not an issue on our side. Can anyone confirm?

The maintenance announcement was Jan 23rd and it was marked done (Server Maintenance done (outdated: Server Maintenance 23.01.2025) - #2 by jschnell ). But for me, I also keep getting error claiming my call isn’t allowed… I wasn’t out of quota either, I was using /matrix not /directions

I think it is a global outage, specifically for the optimization service and car directions service. Not sure when it will be back.

Good morning,
I have the same problem. I can’t afford to have the service down for all this time.
I took an API key from graphhopper and modified my code to use both in this case.

Dear Users,
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the API downtime. The car profile should now be fully operational again.
What Happened?
A malfunctioning disk required a full server rebuild on Friday.
To minimize downtime , all profiles were moved to another server.
restarting the service in case of failure is currently not working correctly , causing the extended disruption.
The issue likely won’t be fixed before further investigation on Monday, but we’ll monitor the status today and restart manually again if needed.
Thank you for your patience. Please reach out if you experience any further issues.
Best regards
