I want to map some routes, pretty straightforward, but I need to use an old version of the streets since I am planning to do some research using the infrastructure in the past year. Is there a way to set up the code to use maps from 2010 or something?

check out the ohsome API and Dashboard from our HeiGIT services.
You might be able to use them to create some Maps or even pbf files from that year (im not sure though if it’s possible).
If it’s possible to generate a pbf you can build an openrouteservice instance with it and create routes on that data.
