Is elevation in meters?

Is the elevation returned by this function/ the elevation/line API endpoint in meters?

I think it should be made obvious somewhere, but maybe I am just missing it.

yes it should be in meters asl.
I’ve added an issue in the elevation service repository. But we are currently not actively developing this service. So it might take a while until there is a change.
