Error about the rate limit while I am under the quota

Hi there,

I’m using the latest ORS plugin to calculate isochrones but it sends multiple warnings like this :

OverQueryLimit: 429 ({
“error”: “Rate Limit Exceeded”
})

I checked and I didn’t reach my quota limit. I tried to launch this process for several days (with different layers, even with a small amount of points) and the same error appears.
Is there an explanation ? Something I have to change in the parameters ?

Thanks !

Hey,

please check FAQ | openrouteservice backend documentation - you didn’t reach your daily limit, but the rate limit of the maximum requests per minute.

Best regards

Hi,

Thank you for your answer.
But I still don’t understand. The maximum request per minut is 40. My layer count 34 points and I still have this error. The plugin doesn’t keep trying, it makes my QGIS crash each time I launch it.

Hey,

would you mind sharing your input layer and your input parameters?
That would make it quite a bit easier to debug what is going on…

Best regards

Hi,
Sorry for my late answer, I was out of office.
Now I have an other error message.
And the plugin works on my colleague’s computer, with the same layer and parameters. So I think there is something wrong with QGIS settings. I’ll contact my IT support and will come back to you if the problem persist despite that.
Thanks !

Hi,
I’m back :slight_smile:

We checked the settings with my IT support and it’s not the problem.
I tried several things :

  • isochrone with 1 point : it works
  • isochrones with 19 points : it works
  • isochrones with 34 points : it crashes (with an empty output file created)

So my IT colleague suggests it might come from the authorizations/quotas linked to my API-key.

Find on this link the layer that I used : Unique Download Link | WeTransfer

Thanks,

Christine
