I’m working with a private installation of ORS accessed via Python. I’m able to get duration and distance matrices but was wondering if I can specify a time of day either through the API call or through some 3rd party add-on.

currently, there are some issues regarding time-dependent routing.
Thus, the option to specify a time of day is not yet available, and the ors wouldn’t take it into account anyways.
Out of curiosity, what would you be using this for?

Thanks Jakob. I work in an academic transportation research lab investigating various “dial-a-ride” (on demand) and ridesharing problems. The impact of time of day is one of the factors we would like to include in our studies. It also permits better comparison with popular platforms like Google and Waze which allow users to enter the day and time of planned travel.
Hi @jschnell , has there been any progress on time-dependent routing? Without a travel time specification, does the route time reflect the peak period (rush hour), off-peak, some kind of center value?
