I have a question about possible small errors in the data. I have noticed that there are small errors in the data for (very few) data points. For example, the data for the station Überlingen-Therme shows me 16 inhabitants within 1 km radius (walking distance and range type=distance) and for Sipplingen train station 0 inhabitants, which I know cannot be correct. Can anyone tell me how to deal with such errors? Is there another way to get this data?
Thank you!
Hey,
our backend documentation has information on the population data used.
It is not based on houses or anything, but a fixed-size raster of the whole world with information on how many people live in each cell. This is then being intersected with the isochrones
In this case, I’d assume that it’s an issue with the tile size of the GHS population data and the overlap of the isochrone, creating imprecise results.
Best regards
