I was wondering if the HGV profile embedded in in ORS is compatible with a bus-like medium
or if someone in this community has managed to define a half bus that takes into account the openstreetmap tags, such as preferential lanes
and whether it might be possible to use LUA profiles defined in other routing-engine projects

you can try setting the options.vehicle_type to bus.
It should prefere bus lanes, but not sure if all restrictions you need apply.
It hasn’t gotten that much attention.
With lua profiles i guess you refer to something like this?

It might be possible in the future, as graphhopper implemented a similar solution, and we also want to offer custom speed sets in the future, but it won’t be anytime soon.
