# New Web Client - Shutting down old clients

Dear users,

as of today, our **new openrouteservice web client** is online at [**https://routing.heigit.org**](https://routing.heigit.org/ors/):

This is a product of our ongoing effort to streamline the openrouteservice landscape, making it more robust, easier to maintain and easier to use.

It is based on [the open source geoportal _Masterportal_](https://www.masterportal.org/en/) and uses [the new HeiGIT API URL](https://ask.openrouteservice.org/t/deprecating-api-openrouteservice-org-in-favour-of-api-heigit-org/7912).

This also means that we will soon **shut down** the **two existing clients** at

- [https://maps.openrouteservice.org/](https://maps.openrouteservice.org/)
- [https://classic-maps.openrouteservice.org/](https://classic-maps.openrouteservice.org/)

This will happen together with the [**final shut-down** of the deprecated API URL](https://ask.openrouteservice.org/t/deprecating-api-openrouteservice-org-in-favour-of-api-heigit-org/7912) **after November 2nd, 2026**.
